Dresden Plate Amish Quilt This classic quilt pattern makes a true heirloom quality quilt that never goes out of style. This Dresden Plate Amish Quilt has 12 appliquéd plates accented by appliquéd hearts. The fabric colors of blue, moss green and burgundy can fit the décor of many bedrooms. There is a green and burgundy border above the scalloped edges. The scalloped edges are trimmed with a floral burgundy fabric. The back of the quilt is a light cream floral cotton fabric. The appliqué work and quilting is stunning and done by an Old Order Amish woman in Lancaster Country, Pennsylvania. There is an exceptional amount of skillful quilting in this Amish quilt such as the classic feathered circle around each appliqué plate. It is of superior quality with about 8 stitches per inch. About the Dresden Plate pattern: The Dresden Plate quilt is made up of several plates that resemble a popular china plate made in Dresden, Germany in the 1700s and 1800s. The plates also have an appearance of a flower. The petals of each plate is pieced together, and the plates are appliqued to the background material of the quilt. In its original form, each of the petals in the plate had a curved outer edge. It is now also seen with pointed edges. This pattern offers plenty of background area for creative quilting.

Old Fashioned Replica Wheelbarrow Back to Basics This authentic wooden wheelbarrow is built with traditional craftsmanship, from a late 1800's Lancaster County, Pennsylvania pattern. It is fully functional – strong and durable. It also can be used as a decorative accent for your deck, patio, or garden. Mortise and tenon joinery is used throughout the construction for added strength and durability. This process is labor intensive, but most closely resembles the original process of the 1800’s and gives the replica a high degree of authenticity. This process is extremely rare today. The barrel holds 420+ pounds of weight without a problem - strong indeed! The sideboards are removable for added versatility. The barrel is braced with steel for increased strength and durability. The wheels feature steam-bent hickory rims, a steel tire, and eight staggered spokes for added strength and balance. Only the finest wood is used in the construction of our wheelbarrows. The main frame is made of ash, which is strong and stiff with very good shock resistance and excellent bending qualities. It is easy to finish and stain. The side boards are made of poplar – a good, strong, hard wood. Poplar is also light, making your wheelbarrow strong, yet easy to manuever. It has a beautiful grain, making it an excellent choice for the wider panels. Poplar trees grow relatively fast, making the wheelbarrow very ecologically friendly. The outside wheel rim is made of hickory, giving it a coarse texture with a straight grain. It bends well with steam, allowing for a maximized trim fit. A galvanized liner is also available as an option, making the wheelbarrow a perfect transportable planter. The wheelbarrow is finished out with decorative safety chains that are made of yellow zinc and have a protective coating, so they won't break or wear. For your convenience, this wheelbarrow comes knocked down in a box to save on shipping costs and storage space. The box is very compact (see size below), and the wheelbarrow is wrapped and shrink-wrapped to protect it during the shipping process. It is very easy to assemble, and comes with an instruction sheet.

Every child likes a story unlike grown-ups, it doesn't even have to be a GOOD story, any will do. Especially in the evening. The reason might be the child's instinctive aversion to sleep. Indeed, what child has ever begged, "Please, Daddy, can I go to bed early tonight?" And why should they? Who would beg to bring a day of carefree ecstasy to an end?
Nevertheless, the clocks strike nine and the children are sent to bed with a loving hug and kiss. By a quarter past, the tired little eyes are all but closed for the night. Rational thoughts that had caused them to ask for "Just ONE more story!" are becoming irrational in the seconds before falling asleep.
